Description:

AANN is seeking volunteers for the Awards Committee. The Awards Committee is responsible for evaluating applications and selecting award recipients for the Rising Star in Clinical Practice, Excellence in Advanced Practice, Outstanding Chapter of the Year, Excellence in Clinical Practice, Excellence in Neuroscience Education, and the Mary Decker Mentorship awards.

  • AANN member
  • The ability to meet deadlines 
  • Can commit to the time required 

Time commitment

2-year term appointed by the AANN President-elect. Most of the work of the Awards Committee happens during November and December. The call for nominations closes on October 31st. The nominations are blinded and committee members typically have 2 weeks to score the essays.

Application

Please submit the following:
  • A short statement (1-2 paragraphs) of interest that specifies your areas of interest and special expertise as well as the reasons you would like to be considered for the volunteer opportunity.
  • A current condensed curriculum vitae that includes only (1) your credentials, current employer and title, and your contact information, (2) the professional organizations in which you hold membership, (3) the number of years you have worked in neuroscience nursing, (4) and professional volunteer experience.
