AANN is looking for volunteers for the 2024 Stroke Conference Planning Committee
The Stroke Conference Planning Committee leads the development and planning of the AANN Advances in Stroke Care Conference based on the mission of AANN. The primary activity of the committee is selection of stroke related content based on the educational topic determined by the AANN Board of Directors, current goals, and strategic plan of AANN; solicitation, blind review, and evaluation of abstracts; and review of information gleaned from participant evaluation of each Stroke Conference. Additional activities include, but are not limited to, ongoing evaluation of content and planning processes, and general oversight of activities related to the Stroke conference. This position is appointed by the president for a 2 year term.
Qualifications:
- AANN member
- Stroke subject matter expert
- At least 2 years of experience in neuroscience nursing
- The ability to meet deadlines
- Can commit to the time required (2 year term, 5-6 conference calls throughout the year, up to 25 hours reviewing abstracts in December/January)
