AANN is seeking a member to nominate for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) new standing work group to review the existing stroke and stroke rehabilitation quality measures for potential updates. The AAN has noted that nurse or nurse coordinator input would be extremely beneficial to this project.
This work group will be responsible for continual updates to the measures and development of quality improvement tools to support measure use. This project will have periods of high activity and extended periods of low activity. For 2020, it is anticipated that most activity will occur in Q2 with an introductory work group call outlining project goals and responsibilities and subsequent literature review in Q3. The work group will meet virtually. Work group members will serve an initial 2-year term with potential to serve up to three terms (or six years).
The AANN member selected for nomination will be required to complete the AAN conflict of interest form which will be included with AANN’s official recommendation to AAN. AAN will then review all applications and determine appointments.
