The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) and the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing (JNN) are excited to announce a new social media ambassador program for the JNN social media platforms. The goals of this program are to:
- Promote articles posted in the JNN
- Increase the altimetric score
- Increase social media reach by increasing social media activity and engagement
As a JNN Social Media Ambassador, you help expand the reach of neuroscience nursing knowledge by sharing, promoting, and personalizing JNN content on your social media platforms. Whether you’re a seasoned social media user or just starting out, if you’re passionate about neuroscience nursing and want to make a difference, you should consider volunteering.
Responsibilities include:
- Share JNN articles and highlights on your personal and professional social media accounts
- Amplify conversations around neuroscience nursing by commenting, tagging, and engaging with others in the field
- Commit to regular engagement (at least 2-3 times per week)

Qualifications
Preferred contributor candidates will be AANN members with previous writing experience and will possess these qualifications:
- Regular social media user
- Practicing nurse in neuroscience nursing
- A passion for research
- The ability to communicate clearly
- Can commit to the time required to successfully complete the project (the time commitment for this project is approximately 1.5 years)
- A passion to advance the science and practice of neuroscience nursing
- Previous author or reviewer for JNN preferred
Term of the Commitment
Volunteers will begin work in August 2025. The term will last through March 2027, upon which the ambassadors will be asked if they would like to continue participating as an ambassador

- A short statement of interest (1-2 paragraphs) that addresses the reasons you would like to be considered and specifies your areas of interest and special expertise.
- A current condensed curriculum vitae
