Description:

AANN Call for Contributors and Reviewers for AANN Core Curriculum for Neuroscience Nursing, 7th edition

AANN is seeking members to serve as lead authors, contributors, and reviewers for the seventh edition of its Core Curriculum. Volunteers will work under the guidance of the Core Editors to revise and update chapters published in the sixth edition (2016) of this important resource.

Responsibilities

Lead Authors Chapter lead authors will collaborate directly with the Core Editors in the development, review, revision, and final drafting of assigned chapter. Lead authors will serve as the point of contact for the chapter and coordinate the chapter revision with the contributors. Lead authors will initiate conversation primarily via e-mail; lead authors may also convene periodic conference calls with contributors.

Contributors will revise and update sections of material from the sixth edition with guidance from the editors and lead author on specific content changes. Working collaboratively with the lead author, contributors will update the references to reflect the most current research findings and best practices, add new material where needed, and revise the text in response to the reviewers’ comments. The work will entail participation primarily in e-mail conversations; chapter lead authors will also hold periodic conference calls with contributors.

Reviewers will critique the revised and updated chapters and offer suggestions for improved clarity and coverage of the relevant science. The work will entail participation in e-mail conversations and, on rare occasions as necessary, conference calls.
