AANN is looking for volunteers for the Stroke Conference Planning Committee

The Stroke Conference Planning Committee leads the development and planning of the AANN Advances in Stroke Care Conference based on the mission of AANN. The primary activity of the committee is selection of stroke related content based on the educational topic determined by the AANN Board of Directors, current goals, and strategic plan of AANN; solicitation, blind review, and evaluation of abstracts; and review of information gleaned from participant evaluation of each Stroke Conference. Additional activities include, but are not limited to, ongoing evaluation of content and planning processes, and general oversight of activities related to the fall meeting. This position is appointed by the president for a 2 year term.

 

Qualifications:

  • AANN member
  • Stroke subject matter expert
  • At least 2 years of experience in neuroscience nursing
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • Can commit to the time required (2 year term, 5-6 conference calls throughout the year, up to 25 hours reviewing abstracts in December/January)

The condensed CV should only include (1) your current position and title, with your contact information, (2) the professional organizations in which you hold membership, (3) the number of years you have worked in neuroscience nursing, (4) titles of continuing education opportunities you planned (or helped plan) within the last 5 years, and (5) the titles and dates of no more than 5 lectures or presentations you have given (if you have given more than 5 presentations, select the top 5 in the field of neuroscience).
